I just love this time of year – I know it’s a silly Hallmark holiday but I have so many fond Valentine’s Day memories growing up. My parents always gave us heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and to this day, I have to have one…even if I buy it for myself. I used to keep the boxes and store all my notes and cards in it. I also remember decorating boxes to hold my Valentine’s in at the school parties and making valentine cards at the kitchen table. You know the kind – lace doilies, glitter and construction paper. I was so delighted to find homemade valentine’s in my mail box yesterday from my nieces…and made with doilies!
