A couple weeks ago, 14 women gathered in Bend, Oregon to seek God’s vision for their businesses and to just uplug and let go. Several months ago, the Be Thou My Vision retreat was literally only a vision to Jane Johnson who emailed me to pray about it with her. It was so amazing to see God’s plan unfold in bringing us all together and making it happen. And the setting of Bend could not have been more perfect. I long for more quiet time by the peaceful lake surrounded by God’s beauty.
It was also on this retreat that I shared my testimony for the first time. I was so nervous and wasn’t quite sure I could do it but I’m so glad I did. If anyone else out there has struggled with this – or even just witnessing to others about Christ, I encourage you to take on that fear and trust in God to help you through it. You never know whose life you might touch or who will encounter Jesus because of your story.
Here are some photos (thank you Kathryn Brown Photography—and some from my point and shoot) of the amazing time in fellowship, prayer, worship and thanksgiving we had. I made friendships to last a lifetime but more importantly, became closer to the One who blessed me with those friendships. I left refreshed and renewed with a focus on what’s really important in life and I look forward to seeing what God has in store for the future of this retreat!
