This post is a bit overdue and I must first thank “mom” for her patience while I edited this session and contemplated my words for the blog. A quick side-note—over the last year, the Lord has brought families or opportunities to me that all involve cancer. I’ve had a good friend/client whose child was just diagnosed with Leukemia (and is doing well-praise God!), I was asked to be a contributing photographer for an upcoming coffee table book featuring stories of cancer survivors/fighters, and most recently, I had the honor of photographing this sweet family and their miracle boy. To say that my life has been blessed immensely by the families I’ve photographed in this journey would be an understatement. I know that our world is only temporary and cancer doesn’t discriminate in age, ethnicity or gender but it will never, ever be easy to see a child suffer or a parent struggle. What I do know and find total comfort in, is that God is good. He is faithful. And He answers prayer. You see, little Daimian was diagnosed as a baby with a malignant brain tumor and wasn’t supposed to live past two-years-old. He’s now five and although his cancer is in his brain stem, has doubled in size and is inoperable, he continues to be a healthy and happy little boy. He continues to defy what the doctors say and I know it’s because he has a huge support system and prayer warriors working non-stop. Please keep this precious child and his family in your prayers as they continue to undergo treatments traveling from Dallas to Houston.
“T” Family, thank you for the reminder of how important faith and determination are and for being such amazing parents and advocates for your son. I hope these images bless you for years to come.
Mark 11:24
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Meet Daimian – my heart is certainly captured…

His precious baby brother Braxton…
