Happy new year friends! I’m not one for resolutions but I do anticipate a huge year of growth and change, both professionally and personally. God has blessed me with the opportunity to open a new studio! I can’t wait to host a grand opening and continue to grow my business meeting more fabulous people like you!
I also turn 35 this year, and no, it’s not a major birth year but for me, it’s somewhat of a “banner” year as I get closer to 40 and evaluate what is most important in life and where I want to be. As I was editing yesterday a song came on by Kari Jobe called “Beautiful”, a song I first heard at the Be Thou My Vision Retreat last summer. The words are so simple but so powerful and I want it to be my theme song for 2010. To make beautiful photographs, beautiful memories, a beautiful studio, beautiful friendships – but mostly to dwell on the beauty that is God.
Beautiful – Kari Jobe
Here before Your alter
I am letting go of all I’ve held
Of every motive, every burden
Everything that’s of myself
And I just wanna wait on You, my God
I just wanna dwell on who You are
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh, I am lost for more to say
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh Lord You’re beautiful to me
Here in Your presence
I am not afraid of brokenness
To wash Your feet with humble tears
I would be poured out till nothing’s left
And I just wanna wait on You, my God
I just wanna dwell on who You are
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh, I am lost for more to say
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh Lord You’re beautiful to me
Beautiful
You’re beautiful, oh You’re beautiful
Beautiful, beautiful
Holy, holy, holy You are, You are
Holy, holy, holy You are, You are
Holy, holy, holy You are, You are
Holy, holy, holy You are, You are
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh, I am lost for more to say
Beautiful, beautiful
Oh Lord You’re beautiful to me
You’re beautiful
Beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful, beautiful
Beautiful
